What is the best workflow for exporting a SolidWorks model to Revit (Project & Family) while ensuring that the exported model retains all necessary metadata, hierarchy, and categories ?

    – Try using plugins (like BIMdex, …) for better collaboration in CAD. They’re made to make working together easier and help organize your models smoothly.

    – Export your CAD file in IFC or SAT format and bring it into Revit. Then, use Dynamo to manage it.

    When picking tools, think about your project goals. Figure out how important hierarchy is, whether you just want to explore (Exploitation) or need a Revit central file.
